Peruvian Maca, scientifically known as Lepidium meyenii, is a food native to the Andes region, located in Peru. Also known as “Peruvian ginseng,” it has nutritional and medicinal properties and comes in various colors, including yellow, red, and black maca. Black Peruvian maca is rarer but more frequently sought after; it is mainly recommended for men due to its higher concentration of beneficial compounds for energy, vitality, and increased libido.
